TT Isle of Man race.......

Started in 1910, 240 deaths since.
Should be on your "Bucket List", simply unbelievable..........

As I get older, I become more risk averse. To each their own, but I have to wonder about the sanity of those who ride this race. At least the roads are in good shape. At those speeds, on CA roads it would more of an off-road race in terms of suspension travel.

Are you serious! ...Look at the lovely country side and the beautiful chicks! ...Who in his right state of mind wants to jeopardize that for the risk of going fast, and at super high speed, when you have no time to see nothing but death!

Beautiful scenery and women should be enjoyed at a relaxed speed: by horse, or/and by foot. :)

You want speed; try a rocket launcher! ...NASA type of stuff.
...Or those rocket cars in the desert. ...And super fast (extremely long) motorcycles (in the desert too).

You guys saw the movie 'The World's Fastest Indian', with sir Anthony Hopkins?

+1.

Those guys are amazing. I like to go fast sometimes but no way would/could I do that.

Bob you don't understand & thats okay, we are all wired differently. I can honestly tell you I understand why these guys do this & I have recognised the same thrill.
If it is in your psych to enjoy sliding a bike around a corner under power with the back wheel spinning & counter steering just to stay on the road with your skill & the power of the bike to achieve this, then heaven has been found. You are one with the bike & on your day there is nothing better than being, the one. The sheer exhilaration is addictive & even broken bodies won't stop you, it is the closest you can get to being superman on 2 wheels. You either quit or it quits you. Some of us get to remember that feeling.

I'd rather fly with a flying suit at 150 miles per hour (or more if necessary, with rockets under my shoes) and just above rock cliffs, and tree tops like one centimeter from them! :) ...The only noise is the wind speed flapping my wings.
...No rotating engine noise; pure audio. :)

Jesus...

EDIT:

It reminds me of this video.

Bob, thats fine but you haven't have you? Done the flight suit thing! My point is I am talking of something that I have done, it's not hypothetical. The memory for me will always be cherished as a time in my life where I was burning at 110%.:peace:
