I ordered a new Simaudio MOON Neo 260D transport without the DAC option. I am going to use the 260D transport in the living room sound system with my new Schiit Audio Yggdrasil DAC. It is being drop shipped directly to me from Simaudio in Quebec. I should have it this coming Tuesday.

Since installing the Yggdrasil DAC I have used two different players as transports with it, an older Denon DVD-2800 and an Oppo BDP-95. The Oppo sounds better than the Denon. I am confident the Simaudio MOON Neo 260D transport will perform better than the BDP-95. The Oppo will go back into my 5.1 surround system in my office. I use it in there to play Blu-ray movies and also to feed a digital signal to my Wyred 4 Sound DAC2 that feeds my Sennheiser HDVA 600 headphone amplifier.

The Simaudio MOON Neo 260D transport is a premium CD transport. Mine is the all black model. It is going to look great in my living room rack.

Jeff.......No need for another DAC in the studio since I am quite pleased with the performance of the Esoteric K-01X. The Yggdrasil is now in the living room system where it supports the Aurender N100H music server, a Sonos Zone player, and the soon to arrive Simaudio MOON Neo 260D transport.
