So, I picked up this Shure 75B cartridge a while ago & been meaning to fix it up, but never got around to do so ... up until recently that is, when I placed an order for Jico N75 ED/T2 generic stylus. Gave it some time & patience to properly align the cartridge & set the VTF to 1.5g & finally got to properly enjoy it.

All I can say is WOW! And I really DO mean WOW! I've been able to hear (subtle) differences between the cartridges before, but this one literally gave it a whole new sound!

So, it made me thinking... Okay, from what I know maybe it's all in my head. I really wanted a vintage Shure in my vinyl setup, so maybe it's because I'm biased ... right? Nope, I made (another) test sample, featuring Abba's Dancing Queen & analyzed its sound harmonics in Audacity - see for yourself!

Not only the sound is considerably louder, but it's also more balanced & has more depth to it, unlike M94. True, it's currently paired with generic N92/N99 stylus, but even when it still had original N94 E 0.2x0.7mil stylus, I don't remember M94 E EVER sounding as good as M75. At least this is my personal opinion of course, I'm sure everyone will think different
Edit
Sorry guys, no pics for now. But hopefully I'll be able to raise my post counter to (& beyond) 10, so I'll return to these later on once the forum requirements had been met.
