Just received this notification this morning.

A brand new 2000T, for only $2000 - while supplies last.

PM me if interested in one.
 
Closeout means it's about to become a discontinued product, right? Any word on what replaces it?
 
Dealer has confirmed closeout pricing available in his market, which is great.

If I'm to make the change from what I'm currently using I'd like to change the whole lot and not have a hybrid power delivery system comprising components from different manufacturers. If SR had a generous trade-in program would make the decision easier.

We have many solutions for amplifiers. The simplest, least expensive and often most effective is to forego any power conditioner by using one of our NR (noise reduction) power cords direct to the wall outlet. This ensures that DTCD (instantaneous current) is not impeded while providing more than 25 dB of noise reduction. This solution also eliminates the cost of the power conditioner and the second power cord required to feed the conditioner.

For even better noise reduction for amplifiers and video projectors we have the inexpensive single outlet Venom AMP-1 (US$600). At the exotic (expensive) end of the spectrum we have the Typhon QR that provides absolutely state-of-the-art performance enhancement for amplifiers.

The Denali D6000 and the Denali D2000 were designed to be mates with the D6000 powering source components or small systems and the D2000 primarily designed to power high powered mono-block amplifiers. While the D6000 has been wildly successful, the D2000 simply has not sold very well. The performance of the D2000 is excellent as reported by many customers and reviewers; so why hasn’t it sold very well. We are not positive but it is probably because we haven’t done a great job in marketing it or because of its form factor. In any case, we are not going to continue it’s production so many customers will have the opportunity to get a great deal on a great product.
 
My take on D2000 is simply the price per outlet compared to D6000. D6000 gives you three times the number of outlets for about twice the price. And the Z1/Z2 outlets on D6000 have better noise rejection than D2000. This is why I decided to buy D6000 and not D2000 (even though D2000 is at closeout pricing and D6000 is not). I like the form factor of both.

Doesn’t make sense if you only need one outlet for an amp.

Hopefully you have a separate power line for each amp. Then you need a Denali for each line, and it makes no sense to buy two 6 outlet Denali when you just need one port on each one. Shunyata should replace the 2 outlet Denali with a single outlet version.
 
Yeah, it was a better value proposition against D2000 even at close-out pricing, which was my point above. Now I have to decide on a C19 to connect it to the wall. I'm thinking of using a C15/C19 adapter with my PS Audio power cables as the cost to change to entry level SR Delta NR will be eye-watering.

As Caelin Gabriel has said elsewhere in these forums, you can save a little money by buying the "EF" versions of the power cords when using with the Denalis. The NR (noise reduction) versions of the power cords provide no useful improvement over the EF versions when used with the Denalis.

Hi Caelin,
This was very helpful information, while I was aware of the Venom AMP-1, I wasn't aware of that these two new products were more effective solutions for both noise management and DTCD for power amplifiers. I am assuming I could power a mid-power (70 W/pc) power amp with the AMP-1 using a C19 Venom HC, correct?
