Should we have another Fun Contest!

Today, February 26, 2014, we have 1,460 members @ the Shark aquarium.

On April 4th, 2014 (4/4/14), it will be the One-Year Shark's First Anniversary.

Till, say March 10, 2014, @ midnight we can guess (only once) how many members there will be on April 4th, 2014, @ midnight.
The closest will be declared the winner, and let me think about a cool price for that very special occasion...
...Nothing ultra hi-end, just a simple inexpensive/fun gift as a token of friendly appreciation and participation.

Like a movie on Blu-ray for example; or unless you have a better idea, it's open to all opinions and suggestions.

And remember, there is no rush; the longer you wait closer to the date limit of March 10, the more accurate your chance of guessing it right. This is just a suggested date to close the contest; if you have one that you think is better, please shoot.

Right now we're just talking on how much fun we can all make it.
Don't give any guess yet; wait @ least till the majority is happy with the accepted formulations and dates.
It's just an idea that came to me right now.

No sweat Paul, you're free to supply anything you consider appropriate for that very special occasion. ;)

The more prizes members want to contribute the merrier that special contest.
Me I already mentioned a Blu-ray flick; that I will provide, anywhere in the whole world.
...Region 1 (or A) though, so be ready to move if you have to. ;)
And if you don't have a Blu-ray player yet, that would be the perfect occasion to finally get one.
 
I have an idea for a contest. Let's guess on how soon Northstar will reach 100,000 posts on this forum.

OK, I'll be the first to post a guess at a number. I have used logic and math, so it will likely be completely incorrect.

365 - 37 remaining days = 328 days passed so far
1460 total members / 328 days = 4.45 new members per day, on average
37 days to go * 4.45 = 164 additional anticipated new members
164 + 1460 = ....

So my prediction is 1624 members on April 4th

Here's what I propose: You have until March 10 @ midnight to change your guess (edit your #).
And at that time this thread should be locked. Yes, no?

* The way the EDIT feature works here at the Shark, it seems to me to be the way to go. Yes, no?
