Shelby Lynne...

Jack, sorry for the small insignificant overextended off topic opinion, my bad. Now I'm not in the mood to talk about Shelby and Allison; I got few CDs from them both because I love very much some of their tunes.

* But that album Cyril was talking about; I'm the same, I bought it (CD) too quickly from impulsive reaction. And I did read a lot about the LP he's talking about. ...Lots of fuss about not-much-to-do at all. ...One or three tunes are ok.

And I know some of both sister's history (readings of course), from their youths with their parents and their musical careers. ...High respect for them both.
But their music in general is not enthralling to me that much, except for some tunes I really love. And that is all, point final.

Good night everyone, love you all; don't misread too much, enjoy the weekend. :)

"Just a little Lovin", first time I heard it, was one of those great audiophile experiences (for me). I had been having some serious stressful days, couldn't sleep worth shit, and found myself tossing and turning one night... so at ~3am I got up and went to my music room. At the time I think I had ARC LS26, VS115, and Avalon Ascendents. I put this new CD on, which I had never heard, turned the volume down low so as not to wake wifey, sat down with a cup of coffee. In my somewhat dreamy state I was then blown away by that recording. Goosebumps hardly describe the sensation, chills up and down my spine, the whole bit.

Just goes to show its not always about the gear. Often the state of mind, or new unheard music, or the setting, trumps the best gear available. (Then we empty our wallets trying to re-create that moment!)

If that's not truth, I don't know what is.*thumbs up*
