Shelby Lynne...

Bob

Did I miss something. Are Bob and Van related? I do like Van, but Bob I never got and don't think I ever will. Do you want me to give you a disc listing? I go back with both sisters to the early 90's.

That was simply to put the emphasis that I'm not particularly fond of both sisters that's all. Why is it not allowed to be me in my natural way of every day life? I'm not an a$$h!le, I'm just me! And me is someone who has an opinion and who gave it about my personal music preference regarding Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer, in general, and on one particular album; the one from which this thread is all about; 'Just A Little Lovin' - And I'm totally with Cyril on that one.

Did I insulte anyone? Is there someone who is not respecting my opinion? I mean... :)

Of course it is allowed...

Bob

Since you asked me about my reference point for Shelby and Allison, why don't you tell us what yours' are. Which LP's, CD's or downloads do you own or have listened to that caused you to form your opinion about the two sisters. I physically own over a dozen pieces of media from the two of them and have listened to the rest of their catalogues. Opinions are great, but there needs to be a reference point when you have one!

Shelby's sister, Allison Moorer, is the far superior artist she just was never in-tune with the Record Company management.

Bruce

While Shelby may be great live, to me here best recorded works are from her "Texas Swing" days of the early 90's. Specifically "Temptation" and "Restless." A lot of the rest of her stuff after "I am Shelby Lynne", has been spotty at best. While Shelby is great when she wants to be, her sister has always been more consistent.

Bruce

Or others, If you haven't listened to Shelby's stuff prior to "I am Shelby Lynne" it would be worth your while. Yes we all have our own opinions on all things music related. It's just my opinion that if Shelby with the superior voice had Allison's writing skills or would have recorded some of her sisters songs her career would have been more even.

Start here, and I'll join you when I feel compelled.

Uh....what's the name of Shelby Lynne's album? Just a little lovin'? :)

There is not going to be a response other than what he has given, because I am not going to give him food for an argument on either side of the question.
