Eyeing this unit. My Rockport Lynx are settling in, and I've been thinking I would enjoy a turn at physical media, given I have a large collection of CD's sitting that either need to be played or moved.
My system is only streaming right now. Vinyl is inevitable in my future, but my rig is also in the family room where kids watch TV, and space is at a premium. They are 12, so my plan is to go vinyl when they leave.
I hear mixed reports on some CD's/SACD's being superior to streaming. The possibility of this and the potential tangible enjoyment of physical media are driving my interest.
I would say that a Wadax, Metronome, or Esoteric unit might be a better match for my system, but I am skeptical that I will really find SACD/CD superior in the end. A transport is another option, but the tube output here is also of interest.
Any experience or thoughts on this new Shanling unit?

Not on that one but I have the ET3 transport and it sounds as good as my 7K PS Audio transport on CD's, if you like tubes then that might be up your alley. They have another one the Onix Zenith cd/sacd transport that I would get with a Laiv 1K dac hooked with I2S and Bob's your uncle, here is a review
