is there ...any difference between the JCAT + Sonore, compared with the sfp network card + USB converter?

server PCIe card based; LAN or SFP architecture?
What are the pros and cons of each of these devices (advantages/disadvantages)?
I don't want silly answers like: "one is marketed for hifi and the other is marketed for industry". Guess which costs more for a start, and I guess JCAT would hike the price of the SFP and put a fancy (brain washing) spin on it too? (If the SFP was a JCAT board). 'REAL' answers only!

LAN
SFP
with say this:
optical converter
...instead of the sonore optical rendu?
the sfp provides fibre optic isolation from noise and the ether RJ45 (metal) cable does not! Any thoughts on this one please? And of course, the sfp network card + USB converter are considerably cheaper than the JCAT net card femto + sonore optical rendu! Also the sfp to usb converter doesn't require a power supply (more noise) unlike the sonore optical rendu which does! Any thoughts on this?
I don't think there is a way to connect SFP to toslink (optical) because i've read they are not compatible? Can't find any such converters/adapters anywhere? TOSLINK only does PCM not DSD!
I can certainly go from server toslink to dac toslink for optical isolation, but that technology is at least 20 years older than sfp and is not as 'versatile' in its application: e.g.
"There are several differences between TOSLINK and SFP, including data rate, distance, and use cases:
Thanx in advance!

"There are several differences between TOSLINK and SFP, including data rate, distance, and use cases:
- Data rate
SFP transceivers can support speeds up to 4.25 Gbps, while TOSLINK cables have a data transmission rate of up to 6 or 8 Mb/s. - Distance
SFP transceivers can transmit over distances ranging from 2 km to 80 km, while TOSLINK cables are usually limited to 5 meters, with a technical maximum of 10 meters. - Use cases
SFP transceivers are commonly used in (but not limited to!) telecommunications and data communications applications. TOSLINK cables are used to 'improve' audio quality for streaming music, viewing movies, and gaming. - Other considerations
Fiber SFP modules are better than copper SFP modules for security because fiber doesn't conduct electricity and is resistant to lightning strikes. Copper SFP transceivers are more cost effective when used in combination with copper cables in short runs. "
Thanx in advance!
