I will getting a Lumin D1 in the next few days, which will be connecting to my Synology DS215j.

Will it be a good idea to use a Sbooster for the NAS, as I will be getting one for the D1?

I'm surprised I have had no replies on this.
A lot of members must be streaming music from their Nas and must be using the cheap power supply that came with it.
This must degrade the sound, or perhaps it doesn't?

I have a Synology DS413 and never felt the need to add an external PSU. Music sounds great to my D1
Nice to know. Perhaps one isn't needed then, but someone must have bought a Sbooster or something similar and have some thoughts on the matter.

Pretty much of late I have been streaming via Tidal or playing LP's. . It would be interesting to hear if an external high end PSU makes a difference on a Synology NAS.

If you would like to try the Synology with a good quality LPS without the cost of the Sbooster for the purpose of an experiment you can try the ones from Swagman Labs for around $120. I used one powered up 24/7 with an Aries Mini for almost a year and a half. Easiest way to purchase is through Ebay.
