Sasha W/P version 2 ???

Thread targeted to 'Lil Deb, what is this I am hearing about a version2 of the Sasha W/P?

I am very interested to know... And now for the tale of woe:

Many friends of mine here know my wife took a new position in Portland a few months back. Last weekend the moving van left late Friday night from our previous home in Seattle area. There was a 53' van and a 17' smaller Budget rental. The smaller van had my entire business packed in it, along with much audio gear including my candy apple red Sashas. The drivers stopped in Tacoma, WA for the night and in the morning the smaller truck was missing/stolen/gone.

We expect to be made whole through insurance, but my beloved audio gear is now in the hands, most likely, of some tweakers. It'll all be trashed in no time.:(

The only thing I know about them is the teaser video on utube. Oh and the teaser teaser one.

I am so sorry to read about the loss of your gear and the contents of your smaller trailer.
 
Oh that's awful sorry to hear it.
But on the bright side it's covered and shopping for new gear is always fun.

That is terrible news! I am so sorry to hear. I hope you will be made whole again soon through your insurance company. I can't imagine having so many precious things stolen. I have had 2 things stolen in my life: my purse less than a year ago (which I got back quickly. Tracked her down myself, and handed over all info I had on her to the cops within 2 hours of the insistent. Oh the power to social media!), and my car stereo system when I was 16. There is no way to describe the feeling you get. Anger and violation of privacy are words that come to mind. I hope they find who did it.

Have you spoken with your dealer about this at all (may I ask who your dealer is, also? Guessing Definitive Audio?)?

Sasha series 2 was officially announced on November 20th. More details should be released soon (I was told mid December... So soon I would imagine).

Bob, I am so sorry to hear the news! Like you said, you will be made whole by insurance. I also hope the disruption to your business is minimal as well.

Bob - that's terrible and I can only imagine how you must feel. You likely had many amazing hours of (personal) listening with those speakers and they were more than just speakers to you.

Things happen for a reason. Sometimes we just don't know it or understand it at the time. Let's turn a negative into a positive and hope the you are made whole by the insurance company and you end up with new Wilson speakers you love even more!
 
Bummer, hopefully your LP's / CD's were not in that van, equipment is relatively easy to replace but our beloved music…………..no way !

to the thieves that stole your property……'may the fleas of a thousand camels infest their armpits' !!
 
That's awful Bob. Good luck with the insurance claims and as everyone has said hopefully you are made whole. Good luck with the move and new system build and with re-establishing your business at your new location.

1st) Thanks everyone for the warm heartfelt sentiments regarding the highway robbery. I am profoundly blessed to be in a place in life where even should insurance go sideways the loss won't make a huge difference in my life or happiness.

2nd)
Hi again LilDeb, you are correct re: my dealer being the good folks @ Definitive (with a shout out to Gary B.). I will be excited to audition the Sasha v.2, and can only imagine what improvements might be in store now with a few more years R&D and the successes of the larger speakers. Hopefully more will have trickled down into the Sasha.

Any further news you can share? Should I had towards Provo with a big stick looking to "coerce" John into sharing what he knows?

Information on Sasha 2 (the press release, photos, and video) will be launched within a few days. I will make sure to post all the information here for you guys. So, don't book your travels to Provo quite yet ;)

Bob, I think the Sasha 2s will be killer good! Hope insurance follows up quick and you can get back to listening to tunes on Wilsons again!

Thanks LilDeb. 2013 was indeed a very odd year for myself and my wife. Lots of out-of-the-ordinary events, and not in a good way. Just a very weird year. Perhaps some karma catching up to me? (No, really, I've been good, but there was a stretch in my early 20's...) Our new home here in Portland is really great, and we're getting settled in piece by piece. Some new Sasha 2s will be most welcome. But then there is the whole choosing a color thing. While the cream-de-minth color in your press release isn't quite our style, it is a most unique color. Well done!
