I heard this song in the Bricasti room at Axpona and was blown away. I found the album on HD tracks. Give a listen to her version of Yellow Brick Road with and without an orchestra

I wish I could find a hirez version of the 2nd version but all I could find was a crappy MP3 version for download.

I'm not a fan of artists who add their style to old standards to make the song "theirs".

I'l take Elton John's version.
 
The 'Live at The Variety Playhouse' HD Tracks download is excellent. Close your eyes and you are there! It is a 'go to' for me to demonstrate what 'digital' can and should be.

The quality of the download is excellent and her version of Yellow Brick Road is just fabulous and IMO better then EJ's but track 8 is spectacular as well.
 
I love this album and appreciate this thread. Never would have bought this had it not been for this thread. Really, really well done album. My favorites are Yellow Brick Road of course, Sittin on the dock of the bay and Gravity. This girl can sing!! Never cared a lot for her radio play stuff, but this album is a whole different story. Thanks for bringing to my attention!
