David..We all have our biases.
I've lived and worked with all 3 platforms. All have their strengths and weaknesses.
The Samsung Galaxy platform is great device technology. Is the device as robust as Samsung claim it to be? Are Samsung good with warranty, exchange and refunds? Or are they a company that prefers to pass user blame and deny warranty claims?
The Microsoft platform is also excellent and highly configurable. Especially for people with special ease of access needs. I'm confident, Microsoft will hit the ball out of the park with Surface Phone when it is released. Remember, the hardware is built on top of acquired Nokia hardware. Nokia had a strong reputation for reliability. Microsoft service is excellent.
Next time you see an elderly person using an Apple iPhone, ask them how user friendly it actually is for their vision and tactile coordination....
