Going to be a busy day. Hope the power doesn't go off with this crazy storm now here.

Congratulations Bud, looking forward to your opinion vs the mk 1 version.

Thanks. Tonight should a nice Friday night. Hopefully, new they are equal to the MK1 and then get better over time.

Have fun dude- which finish did you spring for??

The SoCal "storm of the century" has been a bust thus far - it still hasn't rained in Santa Monica. Was supposed to start overnight lol

Weather prediction is still inexact, for sure. Mcast Rose is the color, which should go better with the rack and room.

Currently breaking in with Marilyn Manson exercising all drivers. Initial impression is S5 quality, but I am sure I am picking up nuances that appear new, or better. Of course this is just after an hour or so. Better listening later tonight, and every night.

Congrats. They need A LOT of run in. Compared to my used S5 mk1, factory fresh S5 mk2 were sounding very thin in the mids. It will go away after first 2-3 hundred hours.

Beeing as impatient as I am, I have left mine playing 24/7 (at nights I was playing sea waves on repeat).

I know they will get better over time, even my used S5 v1 got a lot better over time, but, to me, these are sounding pretty good straight out of the box. So to speak.

I am now playing my HD Lady Gaga playlist, and I am hearing lyrics more clearly than before. In fact, now I hear words that previously mumbled together and are now understandable. LOL.

Anyway, this gives me hope that this was money well spent. I have to stop this insanity at some point and retire. Hopefully, this is the point. :)

I plan on letting them play nonstop until I leave for work Tuesday morning, and after that they will be on whenever I am home, even all night.

Keith, how is it now? Looks like a mofo on the news. After this the whole state should be out of drought conditions. At least for this year. LOL.

Bud...a big congrats on the Mk IIs. Everything is looking very nice [emoji106]

Thanks guys. I noticed last night after playing 8 hours or so that the mid did seem to tighten up, or become more focused. Now they have been playing nonstop for about 22 hours, and really sound great. Granted, I do expect them to sound great, but I don't think I am fooling myself into thinking that. Right now the SPL is in the high 70s, but it seems louder. That was one thing I noticed about the original S5. The louder they played, the better they sounded. The MK2 seems to bring that ability down a notch on the volume scale, which is a good thing.

That's great news Bud! [emoji322][emoji573][emoji106].

Coreect. Mk 2s have better microdynamics and are more alive soundiing = they sound better at low levels.
