Rush on hiatus through 2015.....

To Rush fans: Rush is on hiatus possibly through 2015 open-ended. This is not unexpected. This could be extended or even permanent, but that is doubtful for now as Alex and Geddy says that they aren't calling it quits for now. While kind of a downer for fans of which I am very much so, it is also well deserved. You know, after Neil's tragedy it was not expected that Rush would go on and yet they eventually came back with more music and shows and generosity. That's typical Rush, they are givers. They have given us more than expected over the years and they may still come back one more time, but who knows? There live shows average 3 to 3.5 hours and that is no easy task! They always give the fans what they want and more. They are some of the most gracious and humble people in the business. They treat their fans with respect and genuine appreciation and love. Those always polite Canadian boys have also accomplished more than they really wanted: Music awards, received their country's highest honor and finally made it into the rock hall of fame and through all that pointing to the fans and everyone else instead of themselves. Personally, I say this: Thank you Geddy, Neil and Alex (and the Rush family) for everything you have given us! You have been most generous in sharing your talent and artistry with us and most kind. Thank you for the music and be well on your hiatus, but don't be strangers. Pop up once in a while just to say hello, even if there is no music involved.

Good pun Joe. I like that! Yeah, I mean every word I say. I tend to connect to the music through the artist, getting to know them in a sense. Sometimes I even get to meet them, but mostly not. For those I have not met, I just comb the interviews and musings and things said informally and those who have met them, etc. It actually often times gives good insight to what they are doing and such.
