Running A Lumin without wires

I've had a lot of questions about a post I made last week regarding the possibility of using a Lumin
without a long run ethernet connection from your main router.

The U.S. Distributor is doing this in his own home, without any hiccups and you can to provided you have a good Wifi signal in your listening room. If you do, then you can use one of the products below.

He is using this one:

But if you plan on connecting a L1 or two, you may want to consider this one as it has additional ethernet ports on it:

Yeah, I have had that Netgear for 2 years, for TV though...works great.
 
I realize this thread is 6 years old. But I'm transitioning my system to a new place and I won't be able hard wire my Lumin T2. So I will need to get a wireless adapter. What's a good one to buy now in 2021. Also how do I configure the Lumin T2 to work wirelessly. I'm assuming you just run ethernet cable from the back of the T2 to the wireless adapter.

According to Upscale Audio who is a Lumin dealer: "Add quality Wi-Fi to any Lumin with this product from Amazon. In-store tested and capable of handling even DSD 512 flawlessly! TP-Link Wireless N300 2T2R Access Point on Amazon" While that model appears to no longer be current (still available used or reconditioned) I'd assume one of the newer higher speed models should work as well.
 
In the early days of Lumin, we tested a bunch of these devices. They worked fine, but affected sound quality and could be “glitchy” as the kids say.

Sometimes when people think that getting Ethernet to a certain location in their home is impossible, they call their internet provider and are shocked to realize how easy it was. They have special tools for those tough to reach places.

Don't buy any WiFi adapter that lacks support for 802.11ac

For networking, there is nothing to configure on the Lumin. The difficulty, if any, is in configuring the WiFi adapter. Some WiFi routers (Asus, TP-Link) can be turned into Media Bridge or WiFi client mode for this purpose.
 
I'm using the TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Gigabit Access Point in client mode. It works well with the T2
