I just heard of this Italian company so looked them up, I read a review on their AFM-50 in Stereo & Mono. I found their design philosophy very interesting. It's unique to anything I've ran across before. They aren't so concerned on amount of distortion but wants the distortion to match a human ear. Sorry I don't have a link but the article explains it better.

The amp is a hybrid, triode with SS output, Class A at every stage and zero feedback. It has a 50w power rating but the article states the company finds it difficult to assign a power rating based on other amps and measurements.

I have to say I don't think I've ever been so curious to hear an amp before.

Riviera makes world class electronics in every possible regard with great build quality throughout.

The Levante integrated is a personal favorite which is a hybrid and switchable in between Class A and A/B with a very high level headphone amp as a bonus.

Well worth while seeking out for audition.
