Wow, what an unforgettable first-hand memory of Sabbath in their rawest era!Saw Ozzy fronting Black Sabbath somewhere around 1971/72. The Commack Arena after a Long Island Ducks hockey Game. They covered the ice rink with flooring or plywood. You could feel the cold of the ice below your feet. A few thousand drunk teenagers piled into that place. They were touring in support of the release Master of Reality and I think that's when I learned what head banging music was. That's also when my tinnitus started. Black Sabbath was one of one back then and Ozzy was in charge. It was a 2 hour riot and everyone limped home. Never saw them live again. Didn't have to, that sort of thing you don't forget.
