Return of the Giant Hogweed

Always loved all the old Genesis but don't recall ever seeing them perform this one. On the Extras DVD of Transatlantic Whirld Tour set they do several covers including this one with special guest Steve Hackett.

This is one tricky and complicated tune to play. At times there are many different things going on at the same time and can be hard to follow for the 3 chord progression folks. Hackett is still awesome!

There are a few versions of this flying about. Transatlantic did it on their Release "The Whirlwind". Hackett did it on his "Genesis Revisited II" release last year also. Jaume Vilaseca Quartet also did this on their "Jazznesis - The Music Of Genesis 1970-1974" release, I'm sure there are boots available from some other Genesis tribute bands, like The Musical Box, Regenesis and such.

Still, a very cool prog song. Modern bands just don't go out on a limb with things like this anymore.
