I just added a Remedy to my system. Wow... it makes Redbooks better than have ever heard them! My choice of music to listen to no longer is just HD/DSD downloads or SA-CD disks, but now my Redbook CDs are another fantastic source.

Do ya think? It is in the Wyred 4 Sound forum :).... Oh, yes, it is one of the very famous W4S products.

If ya have a chance try two in series. Double the goodness, double the fun!

Ouch... at $400 a pop don't think I will be putting them in series to make Redbooks sound better :)...

I use the W4S Recovery which has the USB input only. That is what I use for my Bryston to Calyx Femto DAC. I don't notice as big a difference with mine but my DAC already uses a Femto clock so perhaps it is a little redundant in my application. I would try it in a second system with my Teac UD-503 but my transport (Faroudja DV1000 dvd player) only has toslink.

The Recovery makes a very nice improvement for me with my W4S DAC through USB even though the DAC has a Femto clock built in. According to EJ they work hand in hand and are designed to work together.

The Remedy is similar but for Coax or Optical. It also adds a Femto clock and up-samples Redbooks to 96kHz. So it makes a pretty big difference for my Redbook CDs. However it is more expensive then the Recovery. Tony told me that the Remedy is one of their most popular items.

So I have USB coming out of my Music Server into the Recovery and then on to the DAC. I have the Redbook signal coming out of my spinner to the Remedy and then on to the DAC. both make a pretty big improvement for me!

Albert, the Remedy would probably work quite well on your second system...
