REL 212 and G1MKII

A friend of mine is trying to find out the difference between the 212 and G1MKII in terms of sound quality and speed.
Can someone help?
Is the Class D amp inside the 212 faster and better compared to the A/B amp inside the G1MKII?
He won't use the High current connection by REL, will use the LF coming from my pre amp.
