Rega Exact Cartridge

Help !!! My Rega cartridge fell apart while mounting to a new head shell. It’s only 16 months old (it’s a baby). Has anyone had build problems with Rega Cartridges ? Rega offers no contact information on their website. USA distributor is hinting that I was modifying or “upgrading” the cartridge, and the retailer has not responded to my email. Woe is me....$595.00 down the drain.

Another thread I started where many read but no one replys. In any case the USA distributor is sending me a used demo Rega Exact as a replacement. It is their demo, so they don’t expect it has many hours on it. In any case, I give them kudos for doing their best. Am somewhat disappointed to be having a used cartridge in comparison to my pristine cartridge, but I understand their dilemna. At least I will have a working cartridge. Unfortunately my confidence in Rega products has been shaken.
