I got the standard Goat's Hair Brush with my new record cleaning machine and a friend said to switch to a MoFi brush instead. I have a Record Doctor brush that looks identical to the MoFi brush, are they the same thing made by two different manufacturers?

Jack - I'm not sure whether the Record Doctor and MoFi brushes are identical but they appear to be very similar, and different than the goat's hair brush that came with your RCM. Some use one brush for cleaning fluid and another only for distilled water rinse, so if you decide to follow such a procedure you could try a particular brush for each step. The carbon fiber AQ brush and other similar brushes are intended for dry dusting records only, not for applying fluid with a RCM.

That's what I thought in regards to the carbon fibre brushes, that they were for a dry application.

Is there something wrong with using the goats hair brush for wet cleaning? Mine seems to do a fine job. Much better than the velvet brush looking thing that came with the Gritty.
