Recommended Minimum Distance Lumin X1 From Its Power Supply

Thread title speaks to my question. I would not think the X1PSU should sit on the X1, but should the X1PSU sit on the same rack shelf as the X1, and if so, how far away? If recommended to place on another rack shelf, again how far should the distance be?

Have you owners perceived a difference in sound quality in increasing distance?

How long is the power supply cable that attaches to the X1? That should give you a clue.
 
My power supply sits on the same shelf about two feet away. I think it sounds great, and have no interest in trying another shelf.
 
i think that given the build quality of both the X1 and its Power Supply i would not worry too much , and i think you should just try for yourself.....get some experience ! Maybe it makes no difference or perhaps in your situation it do make a difference.....only you can tell.
No matter what the X1 is an amazing streamer.
 
The X1 included umbiiical cord is 5'/1.5m. I had made an assumption that length was more of a convenience option than recommended distance. I had a shorter .5m made and does reach a shelf below. That's the only remaining shelf on this one and wondered about positioning both on same shelf, and so had asked here about minimum separation.
 
The length of the power cable sure gives you a maximum distance. I think what you have been told here by fellow owners is don’t overthink it. Put it where it fits best on your rack and be done with it.
