In my music room I have two windows, both have plantation shutters on them. Was wondering if i closed the plantation shutters and angled the blades does that act like an acoustic treatment for my windows?

Are they wood?

If so, you can sometimes do a bit of room tuning by ear with them. Dependent on window size & location, though.

My guess would be not really, as the hard material will reflect the sound back.

Something like this will help:

yes the pic is upside down

i have noticed the acoustic wood panels that scatter have different angles on them. wasnt sure if changing the panel angles with give me the same affect

If they would sit behind the sweet spot between your speakers where your soundstage forms and all the bars would have different angles, then they could potentially work as a diffusor.
