Last week I traded the Raidho C3 to Rhapsody Audio NYC (Bob Visintainer) for the Raidho D3. Bob is a true gentleman and ensured an easy transaction.

The D3 has at least twice the resolution and dynamics of the C3. The D3 has incredible imaging capabilities, not just defining vocal/instrument locations precisely, but creating a holographic image of them.

The only other speaker I've heard that creates this type of soundstage is the YG Acoustics Sonia 1.2 I heard at this years RMAF. The YG doesn't fit my eye as well as the Raidho, but
Michael Borresen (Raidho), and Yoav Geva (YG) are great speaker designers.

Here are a couple of pictures of the D3's in my listening room, more can be viewed on my profile.

Len, congratulations on the D3's! Bob from Rhapsody is a real gentleman. He give it to you straight. No equivocation.

Len, I'm trying to remember, didn't you have this listening room custom designed? Was it somebody on the west coast that did this service for you?

Tell us about that journey. If you already have point to the link or the thread. Your room looks really sharp.

The pieces I'm using as cable risers are actually the original shelf supports from my Solidtech ROS rack. I'm using Ultrasonic acrylic shelving on that rack as support shelves.

Acoustic Frontiers (Nyal Mellor) http://www.acousticfrontiers.com/ located in California designed and acoustically measured the room.

I have a description of the room with pictures on AudioShark @:

Hi Len,

A very fine looking room and system. Congrats on your D3 purchase! I hope they make you as happy as mine have for me.

Best,
Ken

Congratulations! I've had the D3s and currently have D1s. Your room looks great, but I am wondering about your setup. It looks very conventional and I have never seen Radios set up that way, without toe in. Did you read about recommended placement?

I originally had the Raidho's toe-in just outside the ear positions intersecting at a spot about 5 feet behind the listening position, about 5" of toe-in. Acoustic Frontiers after measuring the room mentioned that was a lot of toe-in. I reduced the toe-in to about 2.5" and like the wider and more forward soundstage. I know more toe-in improves the focus somewhat, but in my acoustically designed room I'm still getting a strong center image with the current settings.

Interesting set up. I'm going to play a little more with mine having heard your story. I have a large toe-in and like the result but.....the urge to tweak never ends!

Congratulations on the purchase. These are the "best" speakers I've ever owned.

Great room and set up!
If,"The D3 has at least twice the resolution and dynamics of the C3", what would that make of my little X1.....feel like crying:huh:
