Dear Friends,
Some could remember me from audiogon! the controversial thread when i first started to garner opinions between two different
speakers, The Magico S3 against the Raidho D1 got so ugly - as i was constantly hammered by magico fanboys - remember i had no avenue to listen to the speakers then and had relied on audiogon, also i had asked the favour of my friends in London who is part of a symphony orchestra to gauge the musicality and realism between the raidho and magico, the Raidhos came out on top.

I was invited into audio shark, by another "benign" member, who owned the D2.

and most reasonable people at the forum also chose raidho - but the advise was to get the D2, as i might wanted to incessantlyupgrade to the D1 in no time, if i wanted the D1.

Speakers that went out of the race earlier one were Lanscher 5,Wilson Sasha,Harbeth M40.1.

Fast Forward to today Ive updated most of my rig and have gone to the Raidho D3 and Audia Flight Strumento 8 Monos.

The synergy between this speakers-amp is truly mind boggling, the most lifelike musical speaker that i have heard before.

I want to know how i can improve the D3's placement i am in about 14 by 17 (unsure ball park figure) room - the speakers
are only about 6 feet part right now - and i am quite happy - bringing the speaker about 2 feet into the room will yield benefits?

And also i am considering going the Ansuz route, from Nordost - Any Comments?

If you haven't tried spacing your speakers out - I would definitely try that. Raidho speakers in general like to be close to the side walls.

I've also experienced that once you find a spot for a Raidho speaker in a room that the rest of the Raidho line are going to sound best dang close to its brother.

So I would absolutely start where you liked your D2s.

Yes this speaker is exactly where the D2s were - thats why i want to know bringing these further apart will yield any benefits?
I have only one side wall, other side opens to the living room walkway, but so far there isn't any smear...

Thank you so much - i will pretty much pay them this way until these break the 500 hour mark.
Wow you have the D5 - :) i am envious

I am selling my D2's and moving up to the D3's. I second the notion that moving the speakers around (chasing the sound) during the first 500 hours is an exercise in aggravation. I left my system running 24/7 for the first two weeks.

Once you achieve break in, experiment with near field listening. The Raidhos can be very rewarding in this regard. Even the biggest model.
