Radio (Paradise) .flac streaming?

Hi,
with "BLUSOUND" OS (node2i) this fabolous radio station stream in .flac (lossless) and a CD-icon will also show this important sound-feature.
My question is:

with Lumin U1 and the Lumin 13.0a APP (last update) all radio stations are playing through "TuneIN" and the Paradise Radio stream with AAC code. (lossy)

So... is something wrong with my set-up?

I’m playing Radio Paradise through my modified Sonos Port into my dac. I’m not 100% sure but I think I’m getting a cd quality stream. Sounds awesome to me and I love the mellow mix stream. RP is so good, I felt compelled to donate. I’m not sure if creating an account and having sent money entitles me to anything special. But, OMG, most of the time when they pick the music, it’s like a revelation. So many wonderful songs that either I’ve never heard or absolutely love.

I think you are using BLUSOUND APP (the same for Sonos?) and if you see a CD-icon it should be a loss-less quality! ;)

Same like you. I did it... Just 5 USD but... they are very good people with the "right intentions"... closer to my... (and your) soul. :heart:
 
I don’t see any visible sign of the quality. My modified Sonos will upsample whatever it’s fed (up to cd quality) to 24/96.

I can’t seem to get my Sonos components recognized by the BluOS software.
 
Lumin supports TuneIn, but it seems that Radio Paradise is not available as flac via TuneIn. In TuneIn app, flac is not presented as an available choice in stream quality.
 
Well, here some (I hope) useful links:

As I can see, the .flac is supported only by VLC and (?) players; TuneIN does not.
I don't know how the BLUSOUND APP stream in "CD" mode... is it VLC operated?

Anyway I hope Lumin will use the best streaming option possible. (AAC 320k)
 
As we are working on supporting Radio Paradise FLAC, are there any other free FLAC radio stations that Lumin users are interested?

Awesome. That’s the only reason I keep my Node 2i plugged in anymore (use the Lumin for all my other streaming needs); soon I can free up some space in the rack ;-)

Which did you choose for Radio Paradise - FLAC or MQA?
