I answered the poll as somewhere between 2,000-5,000. I don't know exactly or even close to exactly how many LPs I have. My new Beatles mono collection showed up today, but my wife will retain possession of the sealed box until Christmas since she bought for me as a Christmas present.

I know from a recent inventory (that was not fun) that I am slightly ove 2000 at 2068. A few duplicates and a few that will probably never be played again due to changes in my taste since they were purchased in the early seventies.

Good point. How many records out of your collection have your actually played? I know I pick up some LPs because they look interesting with the intention of listening to them but somehow that never seems to happen

I've can honestly say that I've played every record at least twice...they don't get shelved until then. If unshelved records start piling up; there's a moritorium on additional purchases.

Yeah it's menage a trois! Me, my wife and my records! Luckily she doesn't get jealous with me sleeping with my records.

Great thought but disturbing question to actually contemplate Probably have 100 in the "to be cleaned" section and another few hundred that I have never placed on the TT. Sometimes the collecting exceeds the sanity.

Sorry I blew that one. I think that over 15,000 goes in the last one. I know Mike L. used to be up there but think he thinned the herd recently.
