Qubuz in the USA is just around the corner.

Based on Official Qobuz Issues Thread on Computer Audiophile it seems it is scheduled for sometime in 4qtr.

"That can be very annoying. I can't answer from even months back, but I can tell you that we'll be launching in the 4th Q and under new management that cares about the high-end community. You'll start seeing press releases soon and I'm proud to let you know first that we'll be the official streaming platform at RMAF, The NY Audio show and CAF. The names collected on the site will all be contacted now that it is a certainty. Thanks for the note. I'll do my best to keep up with the questions and if I don't know the answer, I'll find someone who does."

Tried tonight, streaming still not active. Looks like you can purchase and download files. FYI, It did F with my server when I loaded it there a few weeks ago. I uninstalled it and shut down then restarted to get HQ player working again. It seems to take over the outputting device of the computer.

I wonder what this will do to Tidal. I love that I only pay 9 a month for Tidal as I'm retired military. This will be interesting for sure.

I'm more curious how it will really sound. If it does not go through Roon, it does not go through HQ in my setup.

Based on some comments on the CA thread it might have support for Roon. If you use HQPlayer Embedded you can streM Qobuz using DLNA/UPnP functionality, which worked for me without any issues when I tried the eval version.

Let me know if you want to try that setup or have questions about it.

Sent you a PM. Not sure how to DNLA UPnP.

I signed up for a trial about a year ago using VPN option to UK website but after I signed up I realized I should have done a better due diligence on the VPN vendor before entering credentials and payment information. I changed my passwords and added 2nd form of authentication to my Paypal account as soon as I realized what I had done to avoid any fraudulent charges.

Other folks had done something similar and when Qobuz initially came out some folks were even able to just contact support and they got added with address of New France or something similar.

I did not realize how you were really accessing the site. I don't need to play games. I can wait.
You going to Rocky M ?

Nope, not going to Rocky Mountain. I might attend CAF and NYAS. NYAS is only an hr or so away from home so I might go to that one, but I have not ruled out CAS yet.

Sorry, forgot to respond to your question about DNLA/UPnP setup for HQPlayer.

Depending on your comfort level with Linux you can roll your own install of either Debian Stretch or Ubuntu Server or just use the HQPe image and write it to the usb flash drive and boot your system. It is pre-configured for UPnP support. If you want further information feel free to give me a buzz.

Thanks but I use Win Server 2016. I also have a second boot for Win 7 with J River but that is far inferior in sound quality. I may have a Linux Boot in the future but that is a few month out. I am in not rush. I have lots of music to listen too. Thanks again.

I did not know tidal had anything Beyer than Redbook. I though they were saying at 16,44.1 tidal was better. At 24/96 or higher Qboz was better. Do I not know what formats are available on Tidal?

Up to 24/352 with an MQA compatible DAC.
