I have my T2 connected via a mesh network using an Uptone etheregen switch. Lately, music has been cutting out while using Qobuz. However; I am not having any issues with Tidal. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I have had the etheregen for several months with no issues.

If you're not having any problems with Tidal, then it's not a problem with the EtherREGEN, as it functions as your "positive control" with respect to the nominal operation of ER. The problem has to be with Qobuz, because...I'm having exactly the same issues, and I'm not even using my EtherREGEN. Going straight via optical from the OpticalModule into the Lumin P1. Last day or so, if I'm streaming a file from Qobuz, I'll be in the middle of a track, and it will just cut out.

Tracks streamed from ripped files residing on a hard drive work just fine.

have been experiencing the exact same issue. thought it was my ISP but sounds like it might be a qobuz as well.

for reference my audio network config: router > switch > FMC > opticalRendu > DAC

I am also having this issue with my hard drive music.

Please power cycle your whole network, starting from the router and especially including the mesh.

Cycling helps but you will find power supplies that are say 4 times larger than the equipment requirements provide a more stable current delivery. Also utilizing a isolation transformer such a a Triplite 500 watt can bring stability. If you have stresses your equipmemt such as modem or router for to long, you may need to replace them.

I'm glad I saw this thread!

Even I have been facing issues with Qobuz the last few days.
I had just installed a new router and I was wondering if I had done something wrong.

If you have network issues, how is that the fault of Quobuz?

Sounds like a problem with the internet provider. Sounds like buffering stalls or Throttling. Throttling does not appear immediately. It usually occurs within 20-45 minutes of starting the stream. Just my opinion after on cup of coffee...

Is it their IP or is it all of the digital dingleberries they have installed in their system?

OR both. A box to fix this and a box to cause that, an endless cycle. .

That's my point. I don't have any issues with Quobuz, but my digital rig is not complex.

If you have a new separate router, did you turn off the router function in the combined modem/router that was existing. They could be in conflict both trying to assign IP addresses.
Same with wifi, did you turn of the wifi in the modem. Just make the modem a modem. Make the router the router and wifi.
Are you using the stock PS.
Use Cat 6 cables. Even generic is better than Cat 5.
Keep a little space between devices.

Thank you for the suggestions but power cycling the router and network switch has fixed the issue.

I make the comments as the thread will attract others with the same issues. Cycling the router and modem may work in this instance. Or it may only work for a while. If you don't treat your digital infrastructure with care, you may cause it to fail prematurely. Mine failed over a course of month. It would work fine for a while, then hang up. After resetting, it worked fine again, but eventually hung up. This become more and more frequent. I finally hired a data specialist to examine my system. I'm sharing with you what I learned from him. His work made my system perform at a much higher level. It was immediate and apparent streaming was better. My data transfer rates are much higher and have remained stable for a couple years now. Both my wife and I have worked from home since Covid and never once had a drop out. I just did a speed test and run at 859mbps. It has pretty much remained at that level since I addressed setting the data infrastructure up properly.

Thanks again Kingrex! Absolutely agree with you on this.
It's just that this being the Lumin forum, I didn't want to take things on a tangent.

This was my first real network issue in a while and I had been wrestling with it for the past few days. The clicks and pops were absolutely annoying and at first I thought that the tubes had gone bad on my DAC. But when they continued after I took the DAC out of the chain, I was stumped. My network has worked flawlessly for years with CAT7 cable installed.

I do have an engineer who can check my network. I will have a word with him about this issue.

Regards
