They are good for new tubes. Ultimately, I went back to my Sylvania's for my Cary SLP-05. I did try the Shunguang CV181-Z's as well in my VAC amps. They were a little darker sounding than the TII's. If you want 6SN7's, I would ping Nikolay at and see if he has any Sylvania's.

Here are mine:

Hi Mike,

I am planning to get these for my SLP05, any specific reason why you went to back to Sylvania's.
are these Psvanes worth the price?
Did you try Sophiaelectric's?

Hi Sumerian - welcome to Audioshark. The Psvane tubes are good, but the Sylvania's are the best I tried and came as the number one recommended 6SN7 for the SLP-05 by Nikolay of Tube Maze.

Thanks for the reply Mike, Appreciate your time.

I assume Sylvania are a giant leap from standard EH tubes? I like warm sound how are the Sylvanias with low end? are they warm.

sorry for too many questions :D wanted to get feed back specifically from a fellow slp05 owner

Yes, much better than the stock tubes. The Sylvania's (circa 1950) are warm and full bodied sounding. Bass is good.
