Pre-amps with built in DAC and Phonostage

Of course you could still do the Accuphase preamp instead of the integrated. It has the DAC and phono modules you can add. For that matter, you can get the integrated and then decide at any time whether to use the power amp section in it since the pre and power can be used independently.

Another option would be to get a small DSD DAC like the Ayre QB9 DSD and sit it behind the cabinet. That way you aren't using a shelf.

Heck

Just go over to Joe's and see what he has laying around. You can use it until he misses it which could be years. :woot:

The other option is the Linn Klimax DSM (??) I think it can be used as a Preamp? No?

thanks Norman.

Any love for the Devialet here?

Good stuff, but no DSd and not sure what the Phono stage is like. Also the D-Prem is $15K, though the D-170 is way less.Class D current drive with class A voltage running across to sweeten up the sound.

Does the Wadia Intuiton have a Phonostage? I know it has analog inputs...Class D+

cool stuff Norman!

This is the GOLD. You need the Platinum for the DSD 256 capability! They also claim the whole thing is improved over the already stellar GOLD.

Due to limited rack space in my family room rack, I will probably have to consolidate some things. As such, I'm looking for a preamp with a built in DAC and Phonostage.

Mcintosh 2500 comes to mind....

Any others?

How about Bryston Dac2, BP26 pre with phono upgrade option......they are half chassis and stack nicely.

Another option is the Bryton BP26 with Dac option and a Sutherland 20/20 phono stage, it too is a half chassis so all could be stacked.....this and the above suggestion would fit on one shelf providing you had around 8"-9" of shelf space.

Thanks Jeff. Great suggestions. After hearing the 28's at RMAF.....I'm very interested in Bryston.

Another option and price friendly is the Burson Conductor dac/pre/headphone amp with a Nova II phono......these can fit side by side or stacked.

Another option but it may not be expensive enough for you :) is the Burson Conductor dac/pre/headphone amp with a Nova II phono......these can fit side by side or stacked.

Yeah, you're right, not she-she enough for me! LMAO.

Now, let me get back to my JOB225 and classe preamp. :)

Accuphase 2420 preamp w/optional 24/192 DAC card and MC/MM Phonostage card + Goldmund T280 ??
