Power Cords - what's your favorite?

Nah…haven’t had Ansuz since they left Raidho. I’m sure they are good cables, but Shunyata, AudioQuest, Nordost and Signal Projects for us (for Power Cables).
My vote is by far Signal Projects over all the others you mentioned.

Full Shunyata Research here: Sigma XC for the Everest power distributor, Sigma V2 NR for the Constellation, Alpha V2 NR for the phono stage, and Omega QR-s for the Lumin P1. PC for Gemini in the remote server room is Venom-X.

Just a side note that I recently swapped out the Sigma V2 NR I normally use for the Constellation to the new "entry-level" Gamma power cable for an audio review I am writing of the new Gamma line of cables, and I am mighty impressed. From the performance they provide,, these are not "entry level" cables, and the value proposition on these (where Value = Quality/Price) is off the frickin' charts. Good lord. Same for the ICs, and I presume the other Gamma cables I have in for review. I'll update as I go along as I am adding them in "sequentially" so I can evaluate them accurately in the context of writing the review.

When Lars Krstensen and Michael Børresen left Raidho in 2017 Ansuz has not been sleeping. These guys were the brains of both Radio and Nordost. When the ground breaking Ansuz DTC power cord hit the market at the beginning of 2017 you, Mike, wrote on Feb 11 2017 (in the Audioshark Ansuz DTC Cables thread) that the DTC Ansuz cables "are game changers". Afterwards the Mainz8 DTC distributor and Darkz DTC footers proved to be again big leaps forward. So what made you shift your opinion??

Oh yeah, I have a Cottonmouth AMP Series and the Signature AMP Series PC's, along with the new Takshaka's. In fact, all of my PC's throughout my system are from Snake River Audio. Most of the IC's and SC's as well. Fantastic sound signature, unlike any other I have heard in my travels.

I also own the Signature Amp and Takshaka series PC. Both are excellent but the Takshaka is more refined and coherent and replaced the Signature Amp PCs.

Agreed. I moved all of my existing SRA cables into less critical positions and the Takshaka's take the lead in all of the critical positions within the system, for that very reason. Jonny definitely nailed it with the Takshaka's.

My favorites are :
Hijiri Takumi
Hijiri Nagomi
HMS Suprema
Furutech Nanoflux NCF
Furutech DIY FURUTECH FP-S55N LIMITED EDITION with FURUTECH FI-50 NCF (R) and FURUTECH FI-E50 NCF (R)
Oyaide Vondita with OYAIDE F1 and FURUTECH FI-E50 NCF (R)

I own several of the AQ Dragon Hi current and source power cords. These are the best I have tried. And, since I also have the AQ Niagara 7000 power conditioner they work very well together.

I received my Takshaka for a couple weeks and it has been really impressive. May I ask if his ic have the same sonic characters? Thank you

High Current Power Cords
When cable manufactures (Audioquest, Shunyata, etc.) talk about their "high current" power cords that are best suited for power amps, what is differentiating these high current power cords from other power cords? Is it the gauge of the wire; method of twisting the strands of wire, silver mix? Not sure if I'm using the right power cord for my amp by sacrificing the performance. Currently using a high quality cord with very good connectors but only 14 awg. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I'm curious about Synergistic Research Power Cords.

Anyone have experience with those?
I have an all SR loom incorporating two Master Coupler X-series on the Directstream and on the Von Gaylord LAD-L2, and the main power amp has a SR Titan T-3. All of these cables are actively shielded.

The first X-series went on the VG, and there was enough of an improvement that my spouse (who was on the ground floor at the time) commented on the improvement. I was in the loft where my main rig was located. The second noticeable change for a PC was the Titan T-3, which interestingly enough replaced a Sablon Robusto, which is a pretty good PC in its own right. In this case, however, the T-3 was the last piece of the puzzle. With the T-3 installation, the entire loom was then SR, Tesla Precision Reference from Directstream to preamp and preamp to power amp, and Tesla PR biwire speaker cables from power amp to the Odeons. I’m convinced that it’s the loom that really makes this system disappear.

While I credit the SR loom for the amazing sense of realism this rig provides, I have to say that all of the transformers are a serious PITA. Ah, well…I guess it’s the price you pay.

It should also probably be noted that all of these cables were purchased used. I probably have somewhere ~$3K in the entire loom.
