Thought it would be fun to show pics of our old systems from the past.





1981 - (Just after I moved to Austin after graduating Texas Tech)
My first real stereo was an SAE electronics rack similar to this one, along with some JBL Jubile speakers & Denon turntable.
Bought it for $2000 from a buddy of mine.

Year 1996


Genesis II.5 speakers, Spectral 180 amp and 20 preamp, MIT770 cables, Sony XA7es cd, Pioneer Elite CLD-99 Laserdisc, Sony SLV-R1000 S-VHS, Sony 65XBR tv.

Year 1999
Krell 20il digital, Pass Labs, Genesis 200 speakers

Next System was 2001 -
Pass Labs amp, Dynaudio Temptation speakers, Sony digital.

Next System was 2004 -
Aerial 20T speakers, Theta Digital amps and DA/Preamp

Current System -
Esoteric D-02, Ayre MXR amps, Oppo 105 DVD, Mojo Audio modded Mac-Mini with Joule Power Supply, Evolution Acoustics MM3 speakers.

Wow, nice! I can't seem to find a picture of my Lloyd's all in one.:blush:

I am going way back to around 1980 with this shot. (You can tell by the shag carpet and macrame hanging)

Those re my DQ-10's, GAS Ampzilla, Nakamichi 610 -pre, SAE Tuner, Sony Cassette and hi end 8750 TT, Audiopulse digital time delay. There is a AKAI tape deck in the left lower cabinet.

The attic of an old farmhouse, it probably was still for hay storage twenty years ago. With its very high ceiling and cathedral roof, it is an awesome listening room... in the summer. Comes fall, I would bring the whole system back into the house.

This guy is still working and tuning in distant stations and resides in a little rustic cabin in the Pocono Mtns. For the last 30 years, it has been frozen many times every winter.
