Portable linear power supply

I have and use a Keces power supply in my RoomPlay Reference demo room, but it is simply too big & too heavy for me to add much more to the two already very large & very heavy (packed full) RoomPlay travel cases.

If possible, I do not want to use the stock wall wart that comes with the component I will be carrying.

The portable (not so big nor heavy) linear power supply that I need has to be at least 20W, 9 volt, with a 2.1 mm plug. Of course, it has to perform well...

Suggestions are welcome!!! :what:

Still a bit larger & heavier than I wanted, but it looks good - I have had a number of W4S products and have liked them all.
 
I've been designing and building various versions of analog "wall warts" for my personal system.

I could custom build you one that would have physical dimensions of about 2"x4"x6" and weigh about 5 pounds.

In this size, I cannot offer an IEC connector [not enough room].

I'm always looking at LPSs, this would be what I'd buy now, and I think meets your requirements, a Farad Super 3. Weighs 3.5 lbs. At 9 Volts, the power is 33 watts. Read the manufacturer's Tech page. Then there's a thread on these over in the Computer Based Music Server Forum on WBF that summarizes a Dutch review and a shootout with some other LPS units including the Keces. Very good graphs & specs.

I have been advised to try this relatively compact & lightweight power supply: iFi iPower X Ultra Low Noise AC/DC Power Supply

If it does not perform at a high enough level, if I buy it from Amazon, I can return it within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked.
