Playlist problems after Apple update/Lumin update.....

Due to various things going on, it's been almost 3 months since I'd listened to my system. Today I fired everything up, and played various tracks from my Lumin playlist per usual. About an hour in, I decided to update the Apple OS to the latest and greatest on my iPad Air 2, and everything went fine. Powered down both my iPad, and the Lumin, the L1...etc, etc, per usual. When I powered up again, Lumin asked to update to its latest, which I did. After powering back up again, the playlist section to the left of the screen looks different, and now won't play a thing. Something about Save/Load....etc. I have a TON of albums sitting in my playlist. I'd hate to think I'd have to start over.

Any thoughts? Peter?

I suspect the iOS update corrupted your playlists.

Before you upgraded everything, did you enable iCloud support in iOS for Lumin app?

Thanks Peter.

No, I didn't enable iCloud support beforehand. Never have previously.

Never been a fan of Apple, and now, even less so.

Please reboot the iPad again, select each of your playlist, then tap Load. Does any of them work?

Peter, just clicked everyone of them.....some displayed this:

and some this:

No rhyme or reason to the variation....some are Tidal albums/artists, and some are files that were downloaded to the L1. Seems like more of them are Tidal files though. I am reluctant to press 'OK' on the "replace files" popup....unless you say it won't do any harm.

If it still behaves the same after rebooting the iPad, please try this procedure:

1. Backup the Playlists
- select the iPad in iTunes, setting should have File Sharing
- select LUMIN app and the folder name PlayListFolder is where all the playlist stored
- select that folder and click "save to" button

2. Uninstall Lumin app

3. Reinstall Lumin app

4. Restore the Playlists saved in step 1

Peter,

Thanks for your help. The restore didn't work....wiped everything. So I'm just going to have to rebuild my playlist. Not the end of the world, but something I'd rather not do.

Thanks again,
Bob
