Opinions? Revel Studio2 vs Harbeth 40.2?

I have no first person experience with any model other than the 40.2.
I have yet to find any genre of music that it doesn’t do well.
And it is a “rock”star.
A particularly well balanced speaker and an exceptional performer when the modest price is considered. It reminds me of the Quad 57 (which I own) except it can play loudly and plumbs the bass depths. It is not an audiophile speaker but rather a music lovers speaker. It is a speaker I intend to keep.

Agreed, Also give them enough space around on M40 series. They can outperform double or triple price speakers. Easy.

Once my stands arrive, I’ll let you all know.

For now....

Any views on the 30.2 yet?

As I love my 3PSRs I auditioned the 30.1s but was not impressed as I found them sounding a bit muffled. Are there any improvements in the 30.2 regarding that?

Mike,
thanks so much for posting the pic and I look forward to your thoughts.
BTW, I heard the Lampizator Pacific GTG went well. I almost wanted to come down for it :) I’m old audio pals with Rob (and Fred some too) of LampizatorNA, before they started that venture and I was also a very early Lampi owner. anyway, you must be excited to now represent Harbeth.

Paul,
Thank you, too, for posting your system pic with the 40’s in place. I get the feeling you swap out with many speakers?

Also,
I would like like to say that I realize the “for Rock go with the Studio2” is a coments for this comparison thread and might not be a blanket statement.

I am chomping at the bit to make the many hours drive to hear the 40.2... soon I hope...

thanks again guys

Come on down and listen! The 40.2’s are very very musical, provide hours and hours of fatigue free listening and really are great performers.

Thank you! If we visit my wife’s brother this next year, you WILL find me calling for a visit to your location... For now, Detroit will have to do for the curent desire to hear the big Harbeths.

Yes, I love speakers :) However, the Harbeth is not going anywhere. I owned every model and M40 is here to stay. They are that good.

Mike, M series need some long break-in time. Enjoy it!
