Onkyo P-3000R preamp

Looks good, and I would expect it to also sound good. Also, having a DAC is another feature. The biggest negative that would prevent me from using it if I were looking for a pre is it doesn't have two sets of analog balanced inputs, and balanced outputs. So I would have to buy new cables to use it. On the other hand, it does have a balanced digital input for the DAC.

HI Dave.............its not a bad Preamp for the price(although never pay full retail) i heard it hooked up to the Onkyo Mono Blocs which were powering the Kef Blades for a few hours and it did a decent job-good build quality and easy to use.

Yeah, I agree. It's packed with features. The DAC has upsampling too. Bass and treble controls are nice to me as well. I noticed that regarding the lack of balanced ins and outs. It shouldn't be that much of a problem to me. Sometimes single-ended sounds better as long as the cables are very well-shielded.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. As far as price, I can't seem to find an online store that's selling for less...again, since I'm taking a chance sound wise, I like the 30 day money back guarantee of music direct and amazon. Or even the Onkyo store.
