Ongaku Japan

I may have an opportunity to buy a circa 1999 built by the man himself. Anyone have an idea on what this piece is worth? Also wondering if the age (17 years old) is an issue wrt capacitors, etc.? I appreciate any help with this.

TY hnut, I will contact him. Are you at all familiar with the Ongaku and how it stands in comparison to todays tech? I know the beauty of the amp and what made it so appealing is/was its' simplicity, yet over the top silver wire transformers, etc.

I had since 1999,3 Ongaku,Gakuon,Neiro,Neiro Silver,2 Souga,Baransu,M7 and M10.

Also my 2 friends have old Ongaku and i and my friend never had one problem with them,so you can buy without any problem,you have to check only the tube.

I also did comparison in my home with old Ongaku and new Ongaku KSL,and new KSL is better because is more open,natural and more clean sound,but if you can buy an old Ongaku will be you happy for all the life

sounds good , no I have no personal experience but I do know kevin at definitive is an expert . he is behind living voice speakers and vox Olympians
