Just got a notification from Research Gate from someone requesting a copy one of my published scientific papers on PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction).
When I checked in, I found that to date, this paper has been cited (referenced) in scientific publications by other authors…9,322 times.
Back in the day, I knew we were onto something big when we were developing PCR* at Cetus Corporation, but it’s gratifying knowing that the PCR team I was part of made a significant contribution to Society with this foundational scientific work. Pretty cool. Here’s a screenshot of the reference.
*–I'll add that PCR, as a technology, won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1992.
