One of my PCR papers hits over 9K references

Just got a notification from Research Gate from someone requesting a copy one of my published scientific papers on PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction).

When I checked in, I found that to date, this paper has been cited (referenced) in scientific publications by other authors…9,322 times. :cool:

Back in the day, I knew we were onto something big when we were developing PCR* at Cetus Corporation, but it’s gratifying knowing that the PCR team I was part of made a significant contribution to Society with this foundational scientific work. Pretty cool. Here’s a screenshot of the reference.

*–I'll add that PCR, as a technology, won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1992. (y)
 
Very cool. Yes, we utilize pcr's in clinical practice frequently. Hard to imagine life without them at this point.
Yes, agreed. The development of PCR for DNA cloning, DNA sequencing, genetic analysis, molecular diagnostics and DNA forensics is very much analogous to the development of the transistor for electronics.
