I'm excited to announce that I have joined the good folks at Music Direct, managing their new showrooms and as chief analog setup guy. About two years ago Music Direct moved to a much larger facility in a nicer area on the north side of Chicago.

We currently have two showrooms and an open area for browsing records and checking out special deals. We're getting ready to open the showrooms to demonstrate really cool gear such as Aurender, BAT, Focal, Koetsu, Lyra, Marantz, McIntosh, Shunyata, Spiral Groove, Vandersteen, VPI, and much, much more. Showroom hours will be announced on our website and in our Soundbytes newsletter. Special demonstrations, seminars, etc. are in the works.

It's a wonderful challenge, but does doing what you love ever really seem like work? Come for a listen.

Brian - Congrats on the new position with Music Direct! Does this mean that you'll be discontinuing your own home based operation? Best of luck with this new opportunity! :congrats:

Bill, my business is closed. Since coming on board with MD I've been very busy and am having the time of my life! What a great bunch of people!

Exciting times! Congratulations.
Thanks, Joe! Hope you can visit sometime. You'd be very surprised by what is on demonstration in the showrooms, some of which will be sold locally only. For example, Spiral Groove turntables.

I love Music Direct. Purchased from them many times. Thank you so much!

I love perusing the "clearance" section on Music Direct! High quality stuff that is always correctly represented at great prices.

Good for you, but I would never buy anything from MD again, if I can help it.

I'd love to know what and why. Although I've only been here a week, it is in my genes to take ownership of customer problems and seek to resolve them satisfactorily. If there is something I can do to help, for heaven's sake please send me a PM or better yet call MD and ask for me and I'll do whatever I can.

Yes, it was a customer service issue, happened about 4 years ago.

Thank you for your concern. From speakiug with colleagues who are long term MD employees, it is my clear understanding that the culture here has changed significantly since your unfortunate experience to be heavily customer centric, doing whatever we can to make you happy so you are eager to do business with us. I see this positive attitude throughout the company. It is a joy to work here.

Yes, they could have done something, but they did not.:reallymad:

Congrats and good luck with the new gig Brian. I am a happy MD customer. Mostly music but I did buy a couple of the Bluetooth PeachTree speakers from MD on equipment side. Always had good experience with them.

Congrats Brian. I'm a happy customer of MD. Most of it vinyl. Wish you great success.
