I'd like to see Levinson do that as well. It's a two edge sword though, removing a line from a terrible presentation saves integrity but I'm sure having high numbers in those showrooms reaped some big numbers compared to where they will be now. Even with new dealers it wouldn't make up BB's volume. I still think it's a good move for Mac. BB is the worst

I would have guessed that the main reason for putting them in Magnola/Best Buy was to get more distribution to areas where there were not dealers, such as Wichita. Well Best Buy did not do this, but instead only put them in large markets where there was probably already established dealers.

I am also sure that the plan was for Best Buy to have more upscale staff understanding the product line and its history. I am sure from the secret shoppers this was definitely not the case. My only visit to a Magnola/Best Buy when visiting our son in the Bay Area was anything but stellar. I was very disappointed in how Best Buy handled the product. Displays were beyond poor; the gear was dirty and not maintained. The McIntosh line was definitely displayed in less-than-ideal locations and almost impossible to listen to. I asked to listen to one of their integrated amps and they were not willing to accommodate me. The single turntable on display looked like it had never been dusted and like a brick might have been dropped on it. I can certainly see why the line was pulled from them.

He certainly has to be in his retirement phase. He was with them over 40 years.
