Any processing chip: Audio DSP, Video, ... needs a heat sink or a small fan. ...And those are inside SSPs, receivers, digital preamps, smart HDTVs, BD players, some CD players, ...

I just saw the Antec Spot Cool fans and I am considering for my new ARC Ref 75 since I want to put it in a rack. Once I add the Stillpoints there won't be too much clearance so besides leaving the shroud off the chassis I might want to add a very very quiet fan with just a few cubic feet per minute airflow.

If your unspoken brand name amp is tall enough inside you ought to be able to fit one of these in and not have to do much to build a rig.

I do like that and it has potential, yes. However, Parasound shows them as discontinued and the only probable way to get one is ebay which I won't go anywhere near.
