Nordost will introduce its new Valhalla 2 Reference Cable Range at the High End Show, M.O.C. in Munich, Germany on May 9, 2013.

Great to see manufacturers taking care to pack and present their high end offerings.

So far, impressive sound, fast and soundstage over the speakers.
And yes, they come in a vey neat wooden box.

Cooking up a set for a client, they are indeed impressive. A little smoother than Valhalla and weightier in the mids, I think Nordost may have narrowed the gap to Odin.

Has anyone compared the Valhalla 2 interconnects with the Valhalla 1 interconnects yet? I'm not hearing much of a difference so I am guessing that the difference is more profound on higher end systems.

Quite frankly, IC's are the one area I hear the least improvement in cabling.

Absolutely right, Mike. Put on an Audioquest NRG100 or better and anyone can hear the difference. I use Shuynyata King Cobra CX cables. The new Shunyata Python Zitron is pretty awesome too. Actually, I think the Python Zitron is the best value power cable out there. I am finding that after the 500 hour break in period, it outperforms the Valhalla 1's and the Audioquest NRG100. I'm not convinced it tops the King Cobra CX though. I think that cable is a classic and will be much sought after now that Shunyata discontinued it.

Shunyata makes some of the best cables I've ever heard. They have a good meaty sound, without losing any detail and the cables are very musical. They don't try to hump up any particular region of the spectrum. They are very balanced.

I am considering the Valhalla II speaker cables. I am limited by the need to route them under a rug which doesn't give me many options. If anyone knows of any other flat cables, I'm all ears.

Cheers
