Nord One Up Ncore NC500 amps, Class D ready for prime time .....

Anyone compared the Nord monos with Rogue Audio ST-100? Curious to hear the impression if anyone has.

Are you folks all still enjoying your Nord amps? I was all set to pull the trigger then they raised their prices. I was going to buy three mono up models, and two stereo models for my 7 channel theater.

I wonder if they would do a package deal for a better price?

Also how would I dial their number if I live in the states? Can't remember how to dial overseas

I am sure he would do a special price for a big order why dont you email him.
He will probably see your post anyway.

Yes, I love mine. They will be perfect for your HT setup.

Living in the UK and visiting the US a lot then I think the code is 011 44 then the UK number minus the leading zero, so 011 44 1242 650 559.

Oh and I still enjoy the Nord and so do my 2 friends who bought Nords as well.

Ok thx folks. I need to talk to him about this. It would be a big leap of faith to sell this awesome sounding amp I have now before I heard a pair of the up models. If it wasn't for the fact of rolling opamps I would not have even considered it. But my amp has the standard buffer with the nc1200 modulesx7 which makes it the only multichannel nc1200 amp in the world that I know of.

And besides that mine was specially cared for by Theta and burned in prior to shipment to me. I was the first to receive one.

But if it could sound better for less I could be persuaded to sell.

Decisions,Decisions

What everyone likes in audio is such a personal thing, i doubt anyone could advise you properly.
Your best bet is to borrow or even buy one first (before selling yours) and test it out in your system.
You could always onsell it, if it does not work out for you. That way you still have your nice amp and hopefully not too much money lost.

Nord One Up Ncore NC500 tweaks?

I've been kind of agnostic on power cords. I've had some inexpensive Pangea AC-9's in my system for about 5 years but never A/B them. For the price of about $50 each , I just did them on a lark when I moved to my current house. I've heard the Nordost power cord demo at RMAF and been impressed but unwilling to spend a lot of money, but wasn't that the demo where they were accused of cheating?

For unknown reasons I started out the Nords (w/ SI994) and my new ML 11A speakers (Class D powered dual 8" woofers) on their supplied basic AC cords. Now that they've both been broken in, I pulled out the old Pangea power cords.

Well call me impressed! More of all the good things, quieter background, more air between everything, more weight. Very obvious and well worth more than $200.

Makes me wonder if I should spend a few more dollars on better cords, any suggestions?

Also makes me wonder if anyone has done the fuse upgrade talked about here a few months back?

Just loving the Nord's powering the ML's!

Glad you are enjoying the amps rah. They are impressive.

We have just finished building our evaluation units of the new lower priced all in one (PSU/NCore x 2 in one module) Hypex NCore modules and they are very impressive with a very small foot print. A 6 possibly 8 channel amp may be possible in our present stereo case. They run ultra cool, far cooler than the NC500 which bodes well for efficiency.
We will be looking to offer an Integrated Amplifier as well as multi channel amps based on them. Exciting times.
Oh and we will shortly have a new cleaner, less cluttered, easier to use website.

Hi, I'm really interested in this amp, can it be made available for RCA connections? Im using a Tortuga LDR Pre Amp which is RCA only and my interconnect cable is a custom Neotech NE 1002 (pure silver) with KLE Absolute Harmony pure silver RCA connections so don't want to alter these either. I have seen the XLR blank plates available so would be an easy conversion.
