Nord One Up Ncore NC500 amps, Class D ready for prime time .....

Our pleasure. Sorry for your issues but Colin is great to work with and I would not be surprised if he gets back to you VERY soon.

Jack:
Got it. Thanks for yours and Joe's response; this is one of the ways these threads work and I appreciate your response.

The Nord uses 36 watts when turned on, but does it use any more than that when a much higher volume is used?

Sent from my Swift 2 Plus using Tapatalk

The overall efficiency of the NC500 and the switching power supply is about 85% so roughly 15% of whatever power the amp is putting out will be added to the 36W idling heat dissipation.

Hello guys, anybody did compare NORD NC500 with Rega Elicit-R ??? Or anybody use NORD NC500 with ProAC D15 (Response Series) ???

Byee

When the Nord amp is on, does everyone else get a slight hum coming from the speakers?

Mine is silent. Speakers hisses when I turn on the tube preamp which is normal, otherwise I have to stick my ears to the tweeter to hear it. To find out if its coming from the amp, you can disconnect the XLR interconnect and see if you still hear it or not.

For over a $1000 more but an option I guess. I would think he should consider putting a little more effort into the website besides just adding more photos. A little more actual information would be nice, but that's just me.

I agree they should have more information. I looked at their website and they have nothing over their as well. Given that the sound of the NC500 entirely dependents on the input buffer/opamp, the Hattor might sound a bit different than the Nords.

No comparison available of NORD ONE UP with other products built with Hypex NCore ???? NAD M22, Bel Canto Ref600, Theta Prometheus etc ??
