I'm currently using a Mark Grant DSP2.5 mains cable.

I've read that mains cables can make a difference with this amp.

Has anyone tried different ones which are available in the UK and found they do make a difference?

I would like to try a few myself at different price points.

Any recommendations?

thats a very good cable and if you want a better one then mcru do the brilliant no 91 cable with superb furutech connectors . you can`t beat these for build and they are built like tanks . i have used furutech for years and david is a super guy and no doubt you will have met him at shows . at 115 quid you will have to spend a lot to get better . cables can waste a lot of money which i am sure you know can go into better components .

fantastic . , even if you bought the components separately you would have not saved much . david has some good vfm stuff i think . i am always buying little things of me . look forward to how you get on .

It's arrived but I was thinking of returning it because there so was so little flex in the cable which would make it impossible to connect as the amp is close to a wall.
David from MCRU assured me that the cable can be bent a great deal with no problems which put my mind at rest.
It is now connected.
I will test it tomorrow.

I do find it difficult to quickly work out what is the best item in the range and what is the cheapest on the MCRU website, with all the different numbers for different version of a product.

I think it's difficult to compare cables of any sort but I've been playing a track Magic Mirror by Aphrodite's Child and changing mains cables as quick as possible.
I'm sure there is more detail, bass and separation with the new mains cable.
