I would kindly request that you delete your comment Volks. I think it is lacking in respect for people from Quebec, which I am part of as well as a proud Canadian I may add, and very demeaning of my culture and language.

Anyhow I was under the impression that political topics, which I think this is ultimately, was banned on this board!

What he lacks in knowledge about Mandela he more than makes up for on the ice. His 46 save performance against Vancouver a few days ago was spectacular. That said, the interview was very funny.

Really? He was at a honorary event honouring Mandela. Personally, I thought it was embarrassing to watch & the thought did cross my mind that I wondered when the last time he suffered from concussion. IMO, if you are a high profile sports person in the limelight not knowing who Mandela is, the guy has google on his phone, he could have made the effort to save face for the rest of the hockey fraternity for the next decade! Maybe like volks said, he was under a rock.
